The guys hit the water bright and early as storms were expected this afternoon.

Sure enough, 18 miles in, they could see the clouds brewing. So, they took a storm break in Herculaneum, MO. During their hiatus, they met two guys in a side-by-side who we're curious as to what was going on. One of them offered to take Ian to the store for a quick resupply and some lunch. They then helped Ian and Troy put up a quick shelter and joined them in conversation to wait out the storm. After an almost 3 hour break, the guys got back on the water. Unfortunately, the rain wasn't quite over. They had a wet paddle the rest of the day, but were treated with a colorful rainbow and a beautiful sunset. They ended their day camped out on a beach in St. Genevieve, MO.
