Meet “Salty”
Fourteen years ago, Saltmarsh faced one of the darkest moments of his life. Through support, community, and the work of organizations like the Movember Foundation, he found a path forward. Since then, he has spent more than a decade fundraising and advocating for men's health initiatives.
My name is Ian Saltmarsh, and I am the community ambassador for the Movember Foundation representing the state of Minnesota. My goal is to inform everyone about the Movember Foundation, the leading charity changing the face of men’s health. Movember is tackling the biggest health issues faced by men- prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 different men’s health projects. I’ve been a part of this movement since 2013 and I’ve raised almost $40,000 through multiple fundraising events.

One year ago, a dream became reality. Crossing the finish line at the Head of Passes, of the Mississippi River, was a moment I’ll never forget. Today, I’m celebrating that milestone and sharing a little about who I am and what’s coming next. If you’re new here, welcome- I’m glad you’re along for the ride.
