Day 55 (Part 3- Day 18) Rosedale, MS → Greenville, MS

55 Miles Today, 1773 Miles Total!

55 miles on day 55! Ian and Troy hit their goal and ended in Greenville, Mississippi, for the night.

A little overcast made for smooth sailing and an overall amazing day on the water.

Fun fact, Jim Henson was born in Greenville, MS (Ian is a huge fan of Jim Henson!) Just 13 miles east is Leland, MS, where Hensen spent much of his childhood. Leland is considered The Birthplace of Kermit the Frog Ian and Katie visited the museum there a few years ago.

After meeting up with Brandon yesterday, the guys paddled together, today. Although he's solo paddling his own canoe, the guys are going to stick together these next few weeks and finish out the River as a team! We'll claim him as the newest member of the "Salty Walrus Crew"!

Upon arrival to Greensville, they were greated by another River Angel, Park! Park gathered all 3 guys and brought them into town for a resupply, a bite to eat, and an overnight stay at his guest house! We can't express how greatful we are to have these amazing people who go out of their way to help our guys out! The kindness of the River community is unbelievable!
