Today was rough! And a bit scary...

Now they know exactly why a lot of people choose the Atchafalaya route down to the Gulf. So much industrial traffic! There were barges and tugboats everywhere, causing huge waves! On top of it, there were barges lining the shores. They weren't moving, just lined up like a used car lot. It made navigation difficult, and the guys had some issues communicating with the barges. At one point, they were yelled at for being too close to the channel. Every day is a learning opportunity! After they got out of that mess, they found a spot to pitch their tents for the night. With all the industrial traffic, there really aren't a lot of camping options.

Hopefully, they will get a good night's rest. Tomorrow, they're headed toward New Orleans!
