Day 65 (Part 3 - Day 28) Westwego, LA → Pointe à la Hache, LA

Ian, Troy, and Brandon started the day cruising through the port of New Orleans! After navigating through the plethora of ships, they treated themselves to Cafe Du Monde's famous beignets!

They also had a nice chat with the Coast Guard. Upon resuming paddle, most of the ships and tugboats actually slowed down for them and even cheered them on with friendly waves!

Then, for the longest time, they had nothing but nature. No barges, no tugs, no cruise ships. It was lovely. However, they really struggled to find a place to camp for the night. They hopped on the levy and called the local police to see if it was an okay spot. Unfortunately, it was private property. They looked toward a nearby lot and saw a guy mowing his lawn. They figured they'd ask his permission to camp out in his yard. He was extremely generous to say yes!

Also, Troy lost another screw on his seat! This time, it was one on the left side that snapped off. Good thing they have the back ups with them. Just a quick fix before the guys take on one last day on the water. Cheers to finishing up tomorrow!
